1890s Regent Zither

An 1890s Regent zither. This zither is marked to the interior of its sound hole ‘Regent #5’ and is comprised of intricately carved wood, painted black with gold tone ornamentation around the sound hole. The zither includes a variety of tuning pegs with string and includes sheet music with note placement. This Regent zither dates to circa 1898.

Condition

- all strings are loose; dusty; rusting; would benefit from cleaning and tuning; comes with music sheets that have heavy toning and discoloration; residue to interior.
