Antique Cast Iron Victor Safe
Item Details
An ornate, antique cast iron Victor safe. The safe has a thick, heavy body and very thick heavy steel or cast iron door. The front has a brass combination lock, and is ornately painted with landscape scenes and floral designs. The front door of the safe is marked ‘F. C. Thienes.’ and ‘The Victor Safe & Lock Co. Cincinnati, O.’ The top corners are rounded, and the safe rests on heavy cast iron casters. The interior has an open vertical compartment on the right, with a locking box and three small wooden drawers to the left. The inside of the door has a printed banner marked ‘The Victor Safe & Lock Co. Cincinnati, O.’ along with a list of patent dates from the late 1800s.

- chips, dings and marks throughout; safe comes with the safe combination for the outside lock, but is missing keys for interior compartments.
