After Charles Ansell Engraving on Paper "French Dressing Room"
Item Details
A hand-colored engraving on heavy stock paper by P. W. Tomkins after an original drawing by Charles Ansell titled The French Dressing Room, circa early 19th-century. The work is marked in plate with the name of the artist and engraver along the margin of the oval image above the mezzotint border. Marked with a blind stamp to the lower left margin, ‘Engraving/ B M/ 1900/ Etching’. Presented as a loose work without a frame or mat.

- minor wrinkling to the left and right sides of the paper.
