Zuni Native American-Inspired Carved Agate Bear Fetish

Item Details

A Native American-inspired carved agate bear fetish figure, similar in style to those made by the Zuni Pueblo people. The piece depicts a standing bear in side profile, rendered in cream agate and accented with natural lines and streaks in orange, grey and brown. The figure includes a carved pink and grey agate projectile point wrapped to the top of its back with wound sinew. The piece is signed ‘H’ with incised markings to the underside of its back foot.
