Zuni Native American-Inspired Carved Agate Bear Fetish With Jasper Projectile Point

Item Details

A Native American-inspired carved agate bear fetish figure, similar in style to those made by the Zuni Pueblo people. The piece depicts a standing bear in side profile, rendered in brown agate and accented with natural lines and streaks in rust orange, cream, deep red and dark brown. The figure includes a carved muted green and grey jasper projectile point wrapped to the top of its back with wound sinew. The piece is signed ‘H’ with incised markings to the underside of its front foot.
