Zuni Native American-Inspired Carved Marble Rounded Bear Fetish With Agate Projectile Point

A Native American-inspired carved marble bear fetish figure, similar in style to those made by the Zuni Pueblo people. The piece depicts a stylized rounded standing bear in side profile, rendered in grey marble accented with natural lines and streaks in green, black and off-white. The figure includes a carved cream agate projectile point wrapped to the top of its back with wound sinew. The piece rests on an elliptical marble base signed ‘H’ with incised markings to the underside.
