Antique "Cheesebox" Rush Seat Chairs Including Rocker

Item Details

A collection of antique ‘cheesebox’ rush seat chairs. This collection includes a side chair, two armchairs and a rocker, all with a bowed crest over rail and bobbin back flanked by partially chamfered spindle stiles. The chairs each include a rush seat and rest on turned bobbin legs ending in bulb feet with rail and bobbin accent stretcher elements. The armchairs include curved panel arms ending in scrolled hand holds, supported by spindle rests. The rocker legs end in rocker panel feet.
