Item Details
A power-loomed Ariana area rug by Oriental Weavers. This Egyptian-made polypropylene rug features a Persian-style design in a palette of burgundy, cornsilk, and clay. It begins with a burgundy field densely patterned with palmettes, sprays of flowers, lancet leaves, and vines. Framing the field are six borders, including a primary herati border of meandering palmettes over cornsilk. Flanking the primary border are minor floral borders grounded in clay or cornsilk and an outer guard border of burgundy. Edges are serged on all sides. The rug is labeled on the reverse.
