Frank Handlen Oil Painting on Panel "Big Seas"
Item Details
An oil painting on panel titled Big Seas by Frank Handlen (American, b. 1916). Signed by hand to the lower right corner, the painting depicts the crashing waves of the ocean hitting a rocky shoreline. The piece is presented in a gold tone wood frame with a beige liner. A wire for hanging purposes, a decal with the title of the piece and a handwritten marking with the title of the painting are present to the verso. Handlen is best known for his landscape paintings.
Condition
- droplet marks to lower center and right; wear to lower left corner with paint loss; 3" area of scuff marks to upper left of frame; general scratches and wear to frame.
