Antique American Butternut Chest of Drawers, c. 1860

Item Details

An antique early American butternut chest of drawers, circa 1860. The rectangular top has a back guard and rounded front corners; the piece rests on corner block feet with a scalloped apron. The four stacked drawers have dovetail joints, each with two knobs and a center keyhole. The chest has poplar secondary wood and the back is composed of vertical pine boards.
