Signed Antique Hand Woven Blanket

An antique, hand woven blanket in indigo and white. This wool blanket has a repeating floral motif throughout and bares a majestic Federal eagle in deep indigo above a signature which reads, ‘Hancock Co + Ohio, J. Fleck, 1851.’ This signature and eagle is repeated to the opposite edge of the same side of this charming example of the ethnographic textile arts.

Condition

- Minor raveling, wear and marks consistent with age and use.
- Fringe has unraveling , waving to edge.
