A floor lamp made from an antique ship’s bridge engine order telegraph. The telegraph was a ship’s communications device used between the bridge and the engine room, which allowed the helmsman to communicate the desired engine power to the engineer. The piece is marked, ‘Chadburns Liverpool & London.’
