A collection of twelve prints after illustrations from the book 2300 Years of Medical Costume by Swiss artist Warja Honegger-Lavater (1913-2007). These prints each depicts a different member of the medical profession and some tools of the trade from their respective eras. Each print is labeled to the lower left with the title and era of the depicted costume, and each is signed in plate to the lower right corner by the artist. All prints are presented identically behind glass in black wood frames that are wired for hanging.
Condition
- toning to paper; foxing marks to margins of plates i, xxii, and iv; 3" scratch to glass at lower left of plate iii; overall wear to frames and tape to paper backing.
