An 1857 hardcover first edition of Charles Dickens’ social satire novel Little Dorrit. Published by Bradbury and Evans of London, and illustrated by H.K. Browne with forty engraved plates. It has marbled page edges and is bound in a marbled half-calf hardcover. This is an early printing of the first complete edition (the work was previously serialized, like most of Dickens’ writings, from 1855-1857) with errata that was corrected in later impressions.

- light cover wear, loose hinges, and paper discoloration consistent with age.
