An original gouache and ink painting on laid paper by well-listed Chinese painter Shi Qi (born 1939), titled Harmony, as calligraphed in Chinese characters to the upper left. The image depicts a portrait of an impassive yet kind face, adorned with jewelry and an elaborate headdress, surrounded by a symphony of vivid color and ambiguous shapes. The painting is mounted within a white silk brocade, under glass in a beveled wood frame with a gold leaf finish. A hanging wire is attached to the verso.
