A signed artist’s proof lithograph by listed artist Harold Altman (American, 1924 – 2003) The print depicts a bird’s eye view of a man and woman playing with their child in a snowy park, with bare trees. It is marked to the margin, ‘Artist Proof’ along with the title December 1987, and is signed ‘Altman’. The border is also embossed with the stamp ‘Atelier D’art Desjobert’. The lithograph is presented with a white linen mat and a dark inner liner, with glass, in a custom wood frame. Ready to hang.

Harold Altman was born in New York. He studied at the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere in Paris, and graduated from Cooper Union Art School. His work is in the collections of the Whitney and Brooklyn Museums in New York, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, New York’s Museum of Modern Art, the Bibliotheque Nationale of Paris, the Stedelijk Museum of Amsterdam, and the Royal Museum of Fine Arts of Copenhagen.
