An 1886 softcover edition of Charles Dickens’ holiday classic A Christmas Carol, published by Chapman & Hall of London and bound in a red cloth softcover with gilt lettering. This particular copy has a unique provenance: it is signed by its former owner Edmund Yates, a British journalist and author who was a personal friend of Dickens. Signed in blue ink to the title page. Note that this signature was not professionally verified and its authenticity could not be guaranteed by EBTH, however it was compared with online examples and seems to match.
