The painting depicts energetic black splatters of paint against a solid, static white field. Artist signature is signed to the lower right. This work is not framed but equipped to hang.
Popolin, a native of Cincinnati, studied Fine Art at Marietta College in
eastern Ohio, and is currently a studio resident at the Pendleton
Art Center in the historic neighborhood and arts district of Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati. Poplin’s art is influenced by travels and life experience in Boston, Cape Cod, the Caribbean, New York City, Northern California, the United Kingdom and extensive travels throughout Europe and the United States.
