A lithograph on paper of a design titled Lithograph V by renowned Spanish artist Joan Miro (1893-1983). From the artist’s series titled Lithographs III: 1964-1969, this work features abstract biomorphic forms, such as a globular head with an eye, rendered with black splotches and splatters, accented with yellow, red, blue, green, and pink. No signature was found on the work. It is mounted on a black surface, presented under acrylic glass with canvas matting, a gold-tone sight edge, and housed in an ornate gilt and gesso frame with scrolling foliate molding. A descriptive label is present to the verso.
Condition
- some stains, scratches, and gilt loss scattered throughout frame.
