Pierre-Jules Mene Reproduction Bronze Sculpture Hunter on Horseback

A bronze reproduction of a hunter on horseback by Pierre-Jules Mene (France, 1810-1879). This piece depicts a hunter riding a horse along side his hunting dogs. He is seen holding the horse’s reigns in one hand and the dogs’ leashes in his other hand. This piece is signed in mold by the artist and dated ‘1869’. The sculpture sits atop a green marble base. Both the sculpture and its green base are shown atop of a square pedestal. The work is not attached to the large pedestal but are sold together.
