Organized chronologically into six volumes, it gives a personal perspective on the war from the British leader, also drawing on German and Italian records which became available after the end of the war. Published 1948 by Cassel & Co. Ltd., bound in black cloth hardcovers, and retaining their original dust jackets.

- light dust jacket wear, hinges slightly loose but not cracked, light paper yellowing, spotting to page edges but mostly clean interiors.
