Item Details
An original oil on board titled Barrel and Spilled Corn by Alfred Montgomery (1857 – 1922). Known as the ‘Farmer Painter’, Montgomery’s work showcases rural living. His still life paintings, for which the artist is best known for, are often dominated by cobs of corn rendered in stunning life-like quality. The work is signed to the lower right and is presented in a wide wooden frame; hanging hardware present to the verso.
Condition
-minor markings throughout. Frame has several large scratches and chips to its edges. Upper right corner of the painting appears to have some damage.
