Item Details
A signed original oil painting on board by Bill Shaddix, born 1931, titled Sycamore Crossing. The work depicts an amber-hued landscape of a sunlit pathway through a forest scattered with falling leaves. Shaddix is best known for his landscapes and portrayal of Western life having grown up in Oklahoma and now residing in Arizona. Signed to the lower left, the piece is titled and dated 1973 to its verso. The work is presented in a reclaimed wooden frame with a natural linen border. Hanging hardware is present to the verso.
