A hand-colored engraving on paper titled Vintimiglia after an original work by listed artist George Barnard (1815 – 1890), engraved by James Tilbitts Willmore (1800 – 1863). The image was printed by H. Adlar and published by London, Duncan and Malcolm; Glasgow, Blackie and Son. The piece depicts a figural landscape of the Italian city, Ventimiglia. The artist’s name, engraver’s name, title, printer, publisher and the number ‘5’ are included to the lower margin. Mounted onto an off-white French white mat with a plastic cover. The item remains unframed.
Condition
- minor discoloration to the mat; plastic has a rippled effect.
