Chippendale Style Dining Chairs

Item Details

A set of eight Chippendale style dining chairs. Each chair has a mahogany finish and a subtly serpentine crest rail with carved acanthus leaves and palmette ears. They feature pierced back splats with twisted designs and carved flowers; two chairs have scrolled arms with carved acanthus leaves to their supports. Their seats are upholstered in light blue fabric with yellow stars and their cabriole legs are ornamented with elaborate foliate designs. The legs terminate in ball-and-claw feet.

Condition

- some light scratches, scuffs, and nicks throughout; some large stains to seats; one back splat has several cracks and chips.
