A 1974 bronze sculpture titled Spooked by Sid Burns (1916 – 1979). Burns was a master sculptor who began his art career later in life at the age of 50 after relocating to Arizona. His Western-related subjects are often cowboys and horses portrayed in stunning detail through his meticulous eye and skilled hand. The work depicts a tossed rider and startled horse flying in mid-air after encountering a wild boar. The piece rests on a wooden base with a brass plaque which reads ‘Sid Burns Spooked 1974’.
