An oil painting on canvas of a mountainous Bavarian landscape by German artist Fritz Meyer (1904-1980). This work features a vast green field populated with patches of trees and a small German town in the distance. Grandiose hills and mountains are silhouetted against a cloudy blue sky in the background. The painting is signed ‘Meyer, Muenchen’ to the lower right. It is presented in a brown and gold-tone wood frame with a canvas liner. A stamp, a descriptive label, and a short bio of the artist from W.T. Burger Company are present to the verso.
