Japanese Edo Bronze Vase
Item Details
A Japanese Edo period (1615-1868) bronze lamp. The lamp has a bronze finial and brass harp with an urn shaped bronze body. Other features include a shaped rim and ornate column with dragon handles in high relief and embossed metal petals throughout. The selection also features an orb style body with bird and tree images in relief and the lamp is raised on bronze metal cabriole legs and it stands on a round double layered bronze metal base. The lamp is labled ‘Doyles Auction House’.
Condition
- tested and working; socket assembly bent and partially disassembled, areas of worn finish, underskirt detached; wear consistent with age and prior use.
Dimensions
- measured lamp by itself; addition 12.5" for harp with ornament.
