"Rosebud" Model Riverboat by Edward C. Sims

A model of the Rosebud stern wheel riverboat by Edward C. Sims. Ed Sims was a model ship builder based out of Laguna Beach, California. The piece was made specifically for Western artist Sid Burns in 1973 and includes a separate engraved brass plaque with wooden backing. The impressive piece features a highly detailed and accurate portrayal of the historical stern wheel paddle steamer that traversed the Missouri River on her maiden voyage in 1877.
