Vintage Roll Top Desk With Matching Chair

Item Details

An antique roll top desk with matching chair. This pair includes an antique desk and chair made of solid oak. The desk features five drawers with three on one side and two on the other and rows of slots and cubby holes for office accessories. There is a pull-out writing surface on either side above the column of drawers. The front of the desk rolls down. This antique piece is made with intricate dovetail joints and has a varnish finish. There is a single brass accent piece where the roll top latches and locks. There is no key included. This desk is circa 1900. Also included is a matching chair. It has a curved seat back with a slotted design. It too is made of solid oak and has a smooth and polished finish. Both these pieces are unmarked.

Condition

-there are several minor scratches and marks to the surface of the desk as well as areas of slight discoloration that are consistent with age and use.
-there are minor chips in the wood of the desk along the edges.
-there is a 2"-3" crack in the wood in the seat of the chair.
-there are natural knots in the wood of the desk.
-the key is not included.
-there is some unknown residue where the top surface of the desk meets the sides.
