A vintage ink and watercolor painting on paper by Chinese artist Zhu Qizhan (朱屺瞻, 1892-1996). This modern piece presents a minimal composition, with a plant with white flowers dropping blossoms into the water below. Chinese calligraphy to the upper right contains the artist’s name and censor’s seals. The scroll rolls around a dowel, with a silk tie for hanging.
Condition
- light creasing throughout scroll; five inch tear to paper along upper edge; minor light staining to paper; fraying to silk tie.
