Antique English Quarter Sawn Oak Wardrobe

A late-19th to early-20th Century English wardrobe constructed of exquisite quarter sawn oak. This handsome wardrobe was made by Bath Cabinet Makers, in business in England from 1895 until the mid-20th Century, they were known for their handcrafted furniture and fittings for the Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth luxury liners. This wardrobe features a resting crown with intricate interlaced marquetry over the cabinet with a center front door, oval mirror and full-width base drawer. The interior of the wardrobe retains the original hanging bars with affixed hooks and a center three-arm hook. The door has an ornate ring pull and lock escutcheon, the drawer has two similar ornate ring pulls. The wardrobe rises on short block legs. Marked to the interior ‘BCM/HL Registered Design’.
