The illustrated books were published by Peter Fenelon Collier of New York in 1899 and include volume one and two of Peru by William H. Prescott, Sweden by Victor Nilsson, volume one through seven of France by M. Guizot, Holland by Thomas Colley Grattan, Ireland by Rev. Aug. J. Thebaud, Italy by John S. C. Abbott, Egypt by J.C.
