Vintage "Burroug'hs Portable" Adding Machine

Item Details

A vintage Burroug’hs Portable adding machine, ca. 1925. The adding machine is made of black and green painted steel, with black and white keys that have numbers stamped on them in black and gold. A crank type arm on the right side has a wood handle, and there is a bracket to hold paper ribbon. The front of the unit is marked ’Burroug’hs Portable’, and the front edge is marked with serial number or model number 8-999471.

Condition

- buttons seem to be working, otherwise not tested
- chips, dings, grime and general wear throughout
- hole drilled through bottom front (may be for mounting; may be missing something)
