Edie Harper Signed Limited Edition Serigraph "Dan's Den"

Item Details

An signed limited edition serigraph by well-listed Cincinnati artist Edie Harper (1922 – 2010), titled Dan’s Den. The image depicts a playful interpretation of the Biblical story commonly known as ‘Daniel and the Lion’s Den,’ in which Daniel peacefully coexists in a dark den with a pride of hungry lions. The print is signed, titled, and numbered 295/750 in pencil to the lower margin; mounted under black and brown double-mat, behind non-glare glass in a beveled wood frame with a black finish, equipped to hang.
Edie Harper described herself as a “Jill of all trades trying to master one” since she had been successful in many areas of art including photography, wood sculpture, weaving, and jewelry design, as well as painting and printmaking. Her husband, well-known artist and illustrator Charley Harper, called her “the thinking man’s Bible illustrator.” Edie’s work has been exhibited at the Cincinnati Art Museum, Andover Art Museum, and the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati, as well as many others.
