A hand-knotted Ersari Bokhara area rug. This wool rug features Ersari guls and chemche guls on a cochineal red field. The primary border offers a starburst pattern flanked by guard borders and hooked lozenges at each end. The rug is finished with overcast edges and a wool warp fringe at either end. The rug is unlabeled.
