Brass Rubbing of Lady Margaret Peyton

A brass rubbing of Lady Margaret Peyton, who was also known as “the Lace Lady,” taken from a cathedral plaque of her effigy at St. Andrew’s Church, Isleham, Cambridgeshire, England. The rubbing was done by hand and in gold metallic pastels on dark green paper and mounted on an ivory background. It is presented with glass in a painted wood frame with hanging wire to the reverse. A small plaque appears to the front and a detailed description is applied to the back.
