An oil painting on canvas titled Bistrot de Paris by French artist Georges Breysse (b. 1930). This street scene features a storefront of a cafe with some side tables and chairs set outside in the front. Windows to upper level apartments are visible above the awning and a nearly leafless tree stands to the right in the foreground. The painting is signed to the lower left. It is presented in a silver-tone frame with a linen liner. The title of the work is handwritten to the verso. A stamp, a descriptive label, and a short bio of the artist are present to the verso.
Condition
wear in frame includes small chips, scratches, stains, and discoloration throughout; rips and wrinkles to paper and labels present to the verso.
