A Chinese copy oil painting on canvas of a woman after Chen Yifei’s (陈逸飞, 1946-2005) Poppy. This painting depicts a woman adorned in a decorative robe laying on a non-distinct form, resting one hand on her head while clutching at a hand-fan decorated with flowers with the other. She pensively looks off-center against a darkened background. To the lower right corner of the composition is an artist signature reads ‘Yao Zhiwei’. The painting is presented in a gold tone wooden frame featuring a linen liner and hanging wire to the verso.
