An oil painting on canvas of a winterscape by listed German artist Willi Bauer (b. 1923). Portrayed with loose brushstrokes and thick textural impasto, this impressionistic work features a slightly elevated view of a river winding through snow-covered hills. A large Medieval style building sits along the river in the foreground. The painting is signed to the lower left. It is presented in an ornate silver-tone frame with scrolling foliate molding and a light blue velvet liner. A stamp from W.T. Burger Company is present to the canvas verso.
