Item Details
A grouping of four circa late 19th to early 20th century antique hardcover books. These include the Poems of Whittier (undated, circa early 20th century) in a decorative leather hardcover and having gilt page edges; Bacon’s Essays (1907) likewise in a decorative leather hardcover with gilded top page edges; the Works of Shakespeare (undated, circa late 19th century) also in a gilt decorated leather hardcover and with gilded page edges; and Six Orations of Cicero (1906) in a green cloth hardcover with a leather veneered spine.
Condition
- “Poems” of Whittier is in good condition, the rest are in fair condition with various amounts of cover wear/damage, one board is detached from both the Shakespeare volume and the “Essays” of Bacon, cracked hinges and spine damage to “Orations” of Cicero, but all volumes have intact bindings.
