1727 "Miscellany" of Alexander Pope in Two Volumes

A pair of leather bound hardcover volumes of the Miscellany of Alexander Pope. It includes both poems by Pope in the first volume, as well as writings of other authors in the second. Fifth edition, published 1727 for Bernard Lintot of London. It is printed on laid paper and has engraved headers and accent illustrations as well as a portrait of Alexander Pope facing the title page of Vol. I. Each volume is bound in a red leather hardcover with a paneled spine.

Condition

- darker stain to the top of the front board of Vol. I but does not penetrate the interior; normal paper yellowing due to age; but overall very good considering age; hinges and bindings are solid and interiors are clean.
