1874 Chawner & Co Sterling Silver Spoon
Item Details
An 1874 sterling silver spoon by London silversmith Chawner & Co. This features a gold washed oval bowl with a repoussé flower ornamentation, pointed shoulders, a bright-cut stem, and a tipped fiddle handle. It is marked underneath ‘GA’, with the four hallmarks of Queen Victoria’s head, ‘t’, a lion passant, and a leopard’s head. The approximate weight is 0.758 ozt.
