A 1980 Paddington Bear by Gabrielle Designs in England. This stuffed plush bear is fashioned after a book written in 1958 by Michael Bond. Gabrielle Designs produced this first soft toy in 1972 and were responsible for giving this bear his boots that the author later added to his stories. The British version of this lovable bear wears a safety pin in his hat. The American versions do not have this pin due to safety regulations. Paddington has a note tied to one button that reads: ‘Darkest Peru to London, England Via Paddington Stn. Design Registration No 957892’. On the reverse side, it is written: ‘Please look after this dear, Thank you.’
