A signed offset lithograph after the original tempera painting by well-listed American genre artist Robert Fabe (Cincinnati, 1917-2004), titled Old Station. Typical of Fabe’s somber, melancholy oeuvre, the painting depicts a cold, abandoned railroad station sitting next to empty tracks, surrounded by overgrown grass and underbrush, covered with thick snow under a dreary gray sky. The title and artist signature are signed in pencil to the lower margin, where the print is numbered 17/50. This print is mounted under coordinating matting, behind glass in a simple wood frame with silver tone trim, equipped to hang.
Condition
- frame is worn. Print is sun-faded.
