1820 Henry Day Sterling Silver Sugar tongs
Item Details
An 1820 pair of sterling silver sugar tongs by London silversmith Henry Day. This feature small oval bowls, pointed shoulders, tapered stems and a fiddle handle. It is marked to the inside of one arm ‘H.D’ in a square cartouche, and the three hallmarks of a lion passant, an ‘e’ and a right facing King George duty mark. The approximate weight is 1.835 ozt.
