An original oil painting on canvas. Rendered in fine brush strokes the piece depicts boats at rest on a calm illuminated sea. Presented on stretched canvas in beveled edge wood frame. Initialed ‘M.S.’ by hand and dated 1923 lower right. Hanging wire to verso.
