1884 "Works of Washington Irving" in Three Volumes

A three volumes hardcover set of the Works of Washington Irving, published 1884 by E. Worthington of New York. Titles include The Sketchbook of Geoffery Crayon, Gent. which is a short story and essay collection including two of Irving’s most famous works, ‘The Legend of Sleepy Hollow’ and ‘Rip Van Winkle’; plus Astoria, a non-fiction history of John Jacob Astor’s expedition to Oregon in 1810-12; and The Adventures of Captain Bonneville, also a nonfiction account of an exploration of the West by James Bonneville in 1832. All three volumes have partially leather veneered, marbled covers, and marbled page edges.

Condition

- light cover wear and paper yellowing consistent with age. Hinges slightly loose but attached, bindings are solid.
