Item Details
A grouping of four hand drawn 18th century maps of farms and estates. These drawings feature maps of land surveys in Westerdale and Efton, in the United Kingdom. The drawings include text detailing the owners of each piece of land and surveyors, with drawings of the buildings, surrounding towns, scale bars, and compass roses. These pieces are presented under glass in dark green wood frames, with wire hangers to the versos.
Condition
- toning, scattered foxing, other scattered stains, and creases along fold lines to all four maps; peeling and wear to frame finishes; Thomas Dark’s Estate – map is buckled.
