Antique Hand Painted Porcelain Pedestal Cake Stand

Item Details

A mid-to-late 19th century British hand painted porcelain cake stand in the style of Samuel Alcock. This plate has a shaped, pierced border with gilded acanthus leaf decoration in an apple green color. The inner motif depicts a pink blossom with green leaves and smaller lavender flowers. It rests on a pedestal base which is unmarked, except for the numbers 2 and 9136.
